Located on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande, our community garden is a project that is for the community. We plant, water, and harvest fresh vegetables in the Fall and Spring. If you would like to stay up-to-date on our activities, please follow us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sohcommunitygarden/

Have you experienced the garden labyrinth?
A labyrinth is a place to reflect, look within and pray. The rhythm of walking the path quiets the mind, relaxes the body and refreshes the spirit. Curious and want to know more? Click here: /labyrinth

History of the Community Garden

2020

2020 was a great year in the garden! With the help of our awesome volunteers we had a successful harvest of tomatoes, onions, watermelon, squash, zucchini, peppers, eggplants, okra and cucumbers!

AmeriCorps NCCC members install the in-ground automated irrigation system in March 2020. AmeriCorps has been an integral community partner to our garden since its inception. Thanks to them our garden can grow hassle-free!

Boy Scout volunteers break ground in December 2020 for the meditative labyrinth, which was completed in 2021. Congratulations to Noah Bennett for the successful completion of this ambitious Eagle Scout project!

2019

2019 marked a very successful first year for the garden in its new location on the grounds of the First Presbyterian Church. With help from volunteers we harvested two types of tomatoes, corn, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, bell peppers, arugula, romaine, swiss chard, lettuce, and tons of squash and zucchini.
