Merope Ozdener grew up on the east coast of Scotland. After 2 years as Catering
Officer for Canterbury Cathedral in England, she emigrated in 1970 to Toronto, Canada
where she resided for 23 years working at a teaching hospital before moving to Virginia
in 1993.
She was a stay-at-home Mom caring for her special needs daughter. Upon return to the
work force, she served as Activities Coordinator with a national retirement home
corporation. She finished her career working at the National Headquarters of the
Salvation Army as an administrative assistant to the National Commander. When she
retired in 2015, her family spent the next 3 years traveling full time in an RV throughout
the US and Canada before making Casa Grande her home.
