Seeds of Hope, located in Pinal County Arizona, is a 30-year-old faith based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the population of Casa Grande and surrounding areas. We provide essential services such as food assistance, community garden, senior programs, after-school activities, and a clothing closet among others. Our goal is to empower individuals and families, fostering thriving communities.
Position Overview
The Administrative Director for Seeds of Hope will play a crucial role in leading the organizational mission. This will include financial accountability to the approved budget. This position will work in cooperation with the Program Manager to develop and implement programs including outreach and volunteer engagement. Fund raising activities in conjunction with local stakeholders are a key part of the organization’s success.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership- In cooperation with the Board, will develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to guide the organization’s future.
• Fundraising and grant writing- Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support the organizational mission. This will include opening, maintaining, and closing grants following their unique requirements for completion.
• Program Development- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services working closely with the Program Manager.
• Financial Management- Prepare financial reports for monthly board meetings following the approved budget. Will be maintaining the organizational budget while securing funding through grants and donations to ensure financial sustainability and growth of the programs.
• Staff and Volunteer Management- Recruit and hire staff and volunteers as needed in conjunction with the Program Manager. Supervision of the Program Manager and Office Coordinator positions is included in these activities.
• Community Outreach- Build strong relationships with churches, community partners, donors, stakeholders, and volunteers.
• Board Relations- Will be working closely with the Board President to achieve strategic plan objectives and utilize growth opportunities. Monthly reporting to Board of Directors is expected week prior to scheduled meetings. This is to include: budget variances, program activity updates in cooperation with Program Manager, staffing, progress related to grant funding, and growth opportunities identified through outreach activities.
• Schedule- Flexible daytime hours but will include one Sunday per month up to 3 hours attending congregational events. This position will also include evening meetings and events such as Chamber of commerce and business outreach events.
Qualifications
• Strong commitment to Christian faith.
• Leadership and management experience.
• General grant writing understanding and critical thinking skills for implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial understanding including use of Quick Books.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Bachelor’s degree in business or nonprofit areas or equivalent experience of greater than 5 years in nonprofit leadership.
• Able to pass background checks including Arizona fingerprint clearance card.
• Valid Arizona Driver's license with clean driving record.
